Knoxville Dahlia Society Tubers & Cuttings Sale

  • Stanley's Greenhouse 3029 Davenport Rd Knoxville, TN, 37920 United States (map)

Dahlia lovers, we have a rare treat for you! We are hosting our first “exclusively dahlia” event on Saturday, April 27, as the Knoxville Dahlia Society will be here selling dahlia tubers and potted cuttings ready for planting.

From 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., the sale will be open for dahlia society members only (however, you can become a member at the event: $15 for students, $40 for individuals, and $50 for households). The public is invited to shop from 10:00 a.m. until the dahlias run out. This is a first come, first served sale, so come early for the best selection.

Tubers and cuttings will be sold for $3 for members, $5 for non-members. A “Mystery Table” of tubers will be included in the sale which will be $1 for members and $2 for non-members. The Knoxville Dahlia Society will give a helpful “How to Grow Dahlias” sheet to each customer.

Dahlias are called tender perennials and are typically not rated for our plant zone. However, they can be grown here, and talking to Knoxville dahlia growers is an excellent way to discover their tips and best practices for success.

If you would like more information about growing dahlias in the Knoxville area, check out this article on the UT Gardens website:
