I live about 115 miles from Knoxville. I discovered Stanley's while doing an internet search for David Austin Roses. How lucky am I? I preordered 4 roses. The bad part of doing this is making your preference known in Feb. and not getting your rose til the end of April or May. So worth the wait. They get the roses as bare root and grow them for a couple of months. I was totally blown away. The roses were huge and so healthy looking. In the meantime I had ordered a couple of roses which came planted but very small. Easy to understand considering they are being sent thru the mail or delivery service. Next year, I will happily wait for my roses from Stanley's. And not to forget the staff there is SO nice and knowledgeable. I am happy to make a long drive to shop at Stanley's.

I love this place! Warning: I came here to buy a few trees/bushes for my cabin.... And left with a totally reimagined backyard at home. Cha-Ching! Hahaha . . . but seriously, I was inspired to better-develop my outdoor space and love the ideas Stanley's brought to mind.

We always love Stanley's Greenhouse so much, it's like a little gardener's adventure cause you'll always leave with a thing or two you didn't even know you needed. . . This trip, we went for a poinsettia. We left with five or six because there were so many varieties to choose from. And we visited the gift area where my wife fell in love with a beautiful metal wall hanging for our dining room. The staff are helpful and so friendly they feel like old friends and neighbors. Wish I was in town for this [event] having just learned about Bob, when we drove 100 Miles to the ETIS [East Tennessee Iris Society] sale. We purchased 25 iris that day including the “Chief John Jolly", and if I remember correctly it was one of Bob's because the lady standing there told us info on Bob. I learned a lot that day and Stanley's is such an amazing place! We will visit again! Our interest is, or was, mostly irises, but wow! Y'all have some beautiful flowers, trees, and shrubs. Always an incredible selection of houseplants (which is why I go there) and more than to a of yard/porch/landscaping plants. The staff are very helpful and knowledge and can make sure you get what you need. The prices are honestly pretty decent and occasionally you can get a steal if you are lucky! I snagged a ficus El Dorado for $16 and now you can’t find them anywhere. It’s easy to navigate and is very wheelchair friendly. The plant pots are very pricey but also super cute and very nice. Highly recommend!

Dude, my battery died in the parking lot here after I’d just purchased some plants last minute before closing, and I was stranded.
An employee that has never been anything less than A DELIGHT whenever I shop here on a normal day was an absolute lifesaver AFTER leaving work for the day, when she could’ve gone on to her plans that were waiting, she called her friend to say she’d be late and helped me figure out how to be an adult and operate jumper cables for the first time in my life, and gave me a jump and saved the day. Have been going to Stanley’s for 30 years, and just love it - I would be happy just walking around there. Today, I purchased heirloom tomato plants, Thai chili pepper, Anaheim pepper plants, and a peppermint plant. Every plant was gorgeous. When I was putting them in my car, a worker reminded me that I needed to cover them up because Wednesday and Thursday nights would be too cold. I’m a believer! Love this place!

Vastly large place! Plenty of different plants to choose from within the multiple greenhouses. I also found many begonia Rex varieties, which are my favorite. Great place to go for anyone- whether a beginner or not.

OKAY. So I live in Middlesboro, KY, about 1 hour and 40 minutes away from this greenhouse. Being the plant enthusiast that I am, I had my husband drive me. This is the coolest greenhouse I have ever been too! It is so large and the selection of unique plants and pots are incredible! Prices are fairly priced. I bought three pots and three plants - prayer plant, peperomia, and rubber plant. I definitely will be back to add to my collection!

Their houseplant selection is wonderful and always has gorgeous compositions and hanging baskets at an incredible price for their high quality. This place is amazing. Not only do they have an awesome selection, but they also have an incredibly knowledgable staff that can help you find the right plant for your situation (without intimidating the botany-newbies). I went here last weekend with my wife, the staff were all kind enough to direct us to the right plants to have in our bedroom, complete with advice on what would work best given the amount of light and the direction our windows faced. They also carried a great selection of really cool planters to help us get something that would look really nice indoors, and they have a potting station where someone can help you get your plant transferred into its new planter for a small fee.

I can't recommend this place enough, I'd give them six stars if I could.

I travel 4 hours to Stanley’s from West Virginia, and they help me so much with my roses and what to do “if”. They are so kind and caring. I was born and raised in Connecticut and have been in West Virginia for 20 years. I lived two hours from the University of Connecticut, but am a die-hard Lady Vols fan. Pat Summit taught me so much about basketball when I was growing up.
I love the pansies at Stanley, but I love, love, the WE BACK PAT support they do in the fall with their Alzheimer’s Pansy Project supporting the Pat Summitt Foundation. Stanley’s, see you in March 2019.

I live in Wilmington, NC (7 hours away) and have visited Stanley's 3 years in a row and bought my spring/summer flowers each year while visiting and carefully transported them back home bc the selection is awesome. Knoxville is lucky to have this little jewel. My only request is to have more of the dark red, pink, orange, and yellow lantana next year....not the confetti, the bolder one (it didn't have a tag but I think it may be called fireworks?). But definitely stop in here--and they had the best succulents I've seen this year as well!

We visited Stanley's for the first time today because we received a gift certificate as a wedding gift. Wow! They have the largest selection of beautiful, healthy plants I've ever seen. The people there were friendly and helped us choose just the right shrubs for our yard. We were pleased to see the selections without pesticide, since we know many chain stores sell plants treated with chemicals that are bad for bees, and we love our pollinators. So glad we've found this place. The next time we're in need of a plant I know where we'll be going. Why would anyone shop anywhere else?

We googled local nurseries while visiting Knoxville and couldn't have been happier with the one we decided on. The colors, the variety, and obvious health of all the trees and flowers available at Stanley's kept us entertained for a long while. And I can't say enough about the employees (seems more proper to call them friends) who graciously answered questions, made suggestions, and eagerly discussed plants we mutually enjoy.
